soi literary is the mongrel-tongued lovechild of a literary agency for promoting Thai writers & artists, and a publisher of translated literature, non-fiction, and illustrated & art books in English (or multiple languages).
our desire is to expand the definition of writing and literary work and supports Thai authors to reach a wider readership by creating interlocal as well as intertextual publishing through meticulous translation and/or re-edition. soi literary also offers hands-on assistance for all the necessary tasks to get Thai literary works published in other languages.

Bound together by the district of Kaeng Khoi in Saraburi, Thailand, The Fabulist is a novel about one family’s tale and intergenerational trauma told through five different narrative voices. A palimpsestic retelling of myths, folk tales, historical annals, beliefs and memory, the five voices act as the ‘seams’ and ‘gaps’ between the perpetual death and rebirth of stories shapeshifting through the passage of time, literary conventions and forms.
จุติ คือเรื่องราวแห่งบาดแผลของครอบครัวหนึ่งที่เล่าผ่านเสียงเล่าทั้งหมดห้าเสียงจากต่างช่วงวัย แต่ยึดโยงเข้าด้วยกันผ่านพื้นที่ทางประวัติศาสตร์และความทรงจำของอำเภอแก่งคอย จังหวัดสระบุรี ตำนาน เรื่องเล่าพื้นบ้าน บันทึกจดหมายเหตุ ความเชื่อและความทรงจำมากมายถูกเล่าขานอย่างทับซ้อนกันจากเสียงทั้งห้าที่เป็นเสมือน ‘รอยต่อ’ และ ‘ช่องว่าง’ ระหว่างการดับและเกิดใหม่ซ้ำแล้วซ้ำเล่าของเรื่องราวที่เปลี่ยนรูปร่างไปตามกาลเวลาและลีลาสกุลทางวรรณกรรม
